on August 21, 2011, at about 9:00PM local time. an unspecified number of gunmen opened  fire at the owner of a gas station to assassinate the owner, but the owner escaped without injury but, two employees were not so lucky. they were executed by the unknown gunmen. The motive for the killings is believed to be robbery related .

El Wak Kenya

According to information received from Takaba, the Degodia mobs raided the Gharri villagers at Danbala on August 19, 2011. It was said that the Degodia mobs burned down 12 homes and injured several  inhabitants. one of the seriously injured men was taken to the Elwak area clinic. Also, the security forces from a nearby armed forces have been deployed to assess the situation and keep tranquility.

Heavy fighting has been reported between Al shabab and government forces. According to information received from the area, an unspecified number of government forces have defected to the Al shababa and inflicted heavy causalities to the government forces, and Bursar town has fallen into Al Shabab's hands. It was said that the Al Shabab forces have  captured 6 vehicles from the government. However, five of those vehicle were taken by those defected solders .
